Elevator Pitch No. 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7owz05khgKM

"If you’re someone who loves to ride motorcycles, you know that going on a long motorcycle ride to nowhere in particular gives you a feeling like nothing else. This feeling isn’t a want for you; it’s a need. It’s something you can’t live without. And anything that enhances your enjoyment and safety when riding a motorcycle is, by extension, also a need. That’s why I’ve invented the Ridephones, a high-tech piece of equipment that fits underneath a standard helmet and streams music, navigational directions, and communication from other riders straight to you while you’re riding. If you’re riding through congested city traffic and don’t know how to get where you’re going, this is for you. If you’re riding in a group and need a walkie-talkie type device to tell other riders about road hazards or stops that need to be made, this is for you. If you’re riding on an open road and just want some music playing that makes you feel cool and alive, this is for you. The ways this product can improve the time you invest in your ride are endless. This is a product that anyone who considers riding a motorcycle to be an important part of their life needs to have. Ride safely, ride enjoyably, ride with Ridephones."

  1. Hi Zachary,
You are an excellent public speaker! I have never drove a motorcycle put your introduction made me feel the thrill of riding one. I also liked your part where you repeated "this is for you." The only part I think you missed was the ending where we ask for critique/what the listener thinks, when in a real life elevator pitch we would be asking for an investment.
    Thanks for sharing,

  2. Hi Zachary,

Incredible job! You had a great pace and did a good job reiterating your three main points of why Ridephones. As you develop your pitch I would quantify the opportunity towards the end. Maybe say something like "their are X amount of motorcycles and at $200 a pop our market size is Y." Would you extend such a product to bicycle helmets or do you see yourself sticking to a motorcycle brand?

    Best,
    Grant
